I can't reach the floor on my moped!! nd i have dropped it twice, now I dont want to get on it nd know my dad is gonna go mad!! dont know what to do!! :'(
I'm guessing the bike isn't adjustable? My old bike had adjustable suspension, but then it was a sports bike, not a moped.
If you really can't reach it, then it is too big for you. How tall are you?
Where you OK with it when you tried it? Sounds silly but your legs can get shorter when you tense up (mine do when not relaxed on horses anyway!) so can you try reaching when you're stationary and not going anywhere?
Buy yourself a 2nd seat and cut all the foam out of it. This may well give you an extra couple of inches in height and width. I've had to do this on bikes I've had, sometimes better than fiddling about with suspension. Also get used to looking where you are stopping and avoid any holes!
I'm only 5 ft 1in. when i tried it it was ok nd i thought i'd be ok but im not, have just told my dad nd he says we can sell it and get something different,
hun i am 4 ft 10 inch
i used to ride a moto guzzi 500cc
& i was an assistant trainer to new riders,
i had to carve chunks out of the foam on all my bike seats, & even then i still had to lean them over a long way to touch ground, they would have been a lot heavier than any moped believe me!
if you could reach when you tried it out, then i would suspect a lack of confidence to 'lean' it to the ground, if you could not reach you were sold the wrong bike, glad your dad is sympathetic, better luck next time.
just as a laugh for all you longer legged bodies...... i have had to cut the fenders off the synthetic western i bought, WHY? 'cos the 'normal adult' sized stirrups won't shorten enough for me the super midget, so now i have the 1st skeleton western saddle p'haps? bye
