Really stuck and dont know what to do horse wise... any advice?

Loaning over winter is an option I hadn't thought of, thank you for that one. I think either way I need to speak with yard see if they can point me in the right direction of dealer/loaner

Sell him asap. He's only costing you money at the moment and you're getting little back in return. Sell him cheaply so you can choose a good home. Or send him to a GOOD dealer or on sales livery.

Then I'd slowly look for a new one. Prices are about to drop again for the winter. There's no rush. Find something to share for a bit/ride a friends? You'll quickly know if you do want another horse.

I think we've all come to the same decision, sell him and have a little break. Then when your ready around spring time start looking for a plod, thats if you still want a horse. As to selling him privately, not everyones a nightmare. You would get more money for him, even if you sell at a low price. If you go to a dealer they will want to give you as little as possible so they make the profit. It costs less eg no sales livery. I think for £15 for a months advertising on say here or horsemart its worth a go.
