I really really want to learn how to long line and the various processes to back a horse.

I have seen others long line before but never got hands on myself and again seen others in backing stages but never 'had a go' myself. I would love to get some real experience as i feel i have read all the books i can!!

I presume that riding schools wont teach this kind of thing?

OOh that is a good idea! I dont have my own neddy but i suppose if they were breaking one of their own or a clients then maybe i could be in with a chance to finally learn!!:D

I used to work at a riding school but as i didn't ride i had groundwork lessons and was taught to long rein/line. Once i had a few goes i was okay and confident doing it but every horse will take to it differently. My first two ponies were absolutly fine and ive had no issues but my little welsh a just hates the feel of the reins down her sides and flips everytime i try.
