Im worried as Ive gone in to do my two youngsters and Ive found a plait in my boys mane, its been raining here most of the day and both manes are totally straight and soaked however this plait and tangle was in the middle of his mane.
This morning Louis (Horse plaited) was roaming round our car park area out of his field, this is the second time weve found him here in the past week. There is a pile of dirt in their field around 6 and a half ft and around 2 metres next to it is the post and rail fence, there was no hoof marks on the pile of dirt so we dont know how he could of got out. Bearing in mind the post and rail is quite high too.
He is not that confident with men and Im just thinking maybe if they opened the gate and then couldnt catch him or something they just left him there, there is no reason for him to want to get out of the field, no grass the other side or anything and hes never done this before, both times in the morning when weve found him he is just standing next to his siter the other side of the gate, so not even trying to escape, it just doesnt make sense.
Im just left very worried now.
