I have a 16/17 thoroughbred 4 weeks ago his back legs became unco-ordinated and he is dragging his feet wearing down his toes, it's almost seems like his rear end is not connected properly. I think he may have slipped whilst having a mad 5 minutes with my other horse. The problem I have is that I live on an island and our vet is only a small animal vet and has no idea what's wrong with him. I have given him equipalazone and antibotics with no affect, he doesn't seem in pain and is eating as normal. I rang a equine vet on the mainland who unfortunately rang back while I was out and spoke to my husband, he said it sounds like wobblers and there wasn't much hope. I can't get him to the mainland for an xray so am stumped.
Anybody got any ideas.
