Hi All,

I am after some advice. My horse has scrapes and chunks missing out of her inside rear hooves. I think this is where the hooves must be knocking together. She wears brushing boots for all work but these obviously do not cover her hooves. Has anyone had experience of this or has got any recommendations as to how I can stop it?

Thanks in advance

Jo

You can get sausage boots that keep them apart a little more and stop brushing. You could try overreaches too...

I agree re using sausage boots (fetlock ring ) but there is usually a reason that it happens. Your horse obviously moves very close behind, are they young/ unbalanced? Are they unfit?
