I just sold my Bockmann (newer 2019 model) & that had a plastic/canvas pull down back cover instead of doors, it was on springs & would curl up out of the way when shut. I never travelled with it down but you could have - it had a flap on the lower part which you could velcro up to allow air through - there was a mesh strip behind it. It wouldnt have flapped around as it was was held taught & sat inside the sides of the trailer.

That trailer was a rear unload & I only sold it as my boy outgrew it! I now have a HBX511 & I still back out of it as my lad has got used to doing it this way & does so slowly & calmly. I started using the front unload on the Ifor but it made him rush & panic in case of catching his hips etc, so basically I pretend its not there.

I have a Dutch trailer which shares a lot of parts with Bockmann and it also has a plastic curtain. By some magic it rolls itself up when you unfasten it. I wouldn't ever use it shut when travelling, as you wouldn't shut the top doors. But when closed it has 4 very tight silicone/rubber loops which are so flush it doesn't flap, even in a gale.

None of my lot try to back out when loading; tbf if you're using a front unload on your own it would be the same anyway. I keep a lead rope permanently attached for cross tying or just tying up quickly so once they're in that's it. Even my feral Sec A foal travelled in it no problem. I definitely wouldn't change back from continental now.
