Hey, my horse reared today, a younger horse was being lunged in school and being silly next to field I was riding in and that was the trigger. She bronced then went up. Stayed on and rode her walk/trot after. Am super worried she will do it again as she’s only 4.5 yrs. any tips for avoiding this happening again. She’s super sensitive when other horses muck about but doesn’t rear☹️

Is she getting any turnout yet? I think you said another month about a month ago.

My 18 year old sensible cob would be an unrideable nightmare in the living conditions you described on your previous thread, so if things haven't changed and your determined to keep the loan going and continue riding her I think you just need to accept this type of thing might happen, do your best to mitigate and ride through it when it does occur.

This poor horse hasn't had turnout for 6 months! Of course shes naughty on the lunge and showing undesirable behaviours when being ridden.
Horses stuck in are very prone to gut discomfort. They are designed to move.
