I am looking to buy a reasonably priced dressage saddle - probably a synthetic one - have looked at the Isabell Werth Wintec one - does anyone have one and what do they think? Or any other recommendations????

It is a nice saddle, very deep though and quite an extreme position - I have just bought one and am waiting for it to arrive. The slightly cheaper choice is the Wintec Pro dressage, very similar design but will allow a little more movement in the saddle so more suitable for somebody just starting dressage. I think it is very under rated saddle

I have a Bates Isabel Werth one and it is brilliant. I bought it 'nearly new' on ebay for £700 and it has fitted four different horses over the last couple of years as it has changeable gullets.

It is really comfy and has worn well, however, the leather has just started to go a greeny tinge where it is exposed to the sun.

I bought my Wintec 'Isabel' a few weeks ago now. Typically he went lame after riding in it only once (nothing to do with the saddle). However since coming back into work I've worked constantly in it and I really, REALLY love it.

BTW: any tips on how to clean it would be welcomed :-)
