I'm leasing a TB x Clydie gelding who has a very petite head - apart from his super wide forehead! I'm struggling to find a bridle to fit him. He fits perfectly into a cob size lengthwise, probably could go down into a pony size in the noseband, but the browband is most definitely full. I know I could probably just pop extra holes into a full size bridle, but the excess doesn't look amazing as he's even on the small side of cob.

I've currently got him in a cob bridle with a scavenged full size browband, but I'd like to have something that matches as we'll be showing soon, if all goes to plan!
I've had a look at the build-a-bridles and flexi-fits, but the only ones I can find are well over $250, and I'd rather not spend tons on a bridle that will only fit him as he's a lease and I'm not sure how long I'll get to keep him (we'd still like to look nice in the meantime though ;) ).

I figure lots of people probably have this trouble (I'd think people with Arabs in particular!), so does anybody have any tips or ideas? Thank you in advance :)

Have a look at Sabre (http://www.shop.sabreleather.co.uk) under spare parts and nosebands/cavesson. I got myself a nice bridle just the way I wanted (noseband, sliphead instead of crownpiece, reins) for under £100. Crowns+cheeks go for about £30, nosebands £40, browbands £10-20. All good quality leather, and won't break the bank.
I guess if you want bling, it will cost you more, but for plain good quality, I think this should do.

Another vote for Sabre, we have an extra full bridle with f/s cheekpieces. I use the eton bridle for everyday use, planning on getting a cordoba for competitions.

I always get Jeffries all parts are available separately .
My smart bridles are albion they are available in pieces as well.

Ooooooh thanks very much, the Sabre ones look great! I'm not after bling, just neat and matching, so all is well. And they ship worldwide, bless 'em! I'll also check out the ones your mentioned pronto, Goldenstar :)

Buy a small cob bridle and then put super blingy full size browband on it!

(I am actually addicted to the blingy bits now, and find every excuse I can to add a blingy browband ;) )
