reasons to NOT freezemark?

I know mine wouldn't let the irons anywhere near her and as she is a grey I believe they need to be on longer to kill the hair follicles. She would honestly never forgive me, she had to be sedated to be microchipped she is that much of a drama queen!

You might think that but you could be surprised. The chestnut we have is quite sensitive, but didn't react at all when he was marked, a bucket of feed kept him busy, and I had a grey done back in the 80's who wriggled a little but still coped. The people who do the marking are very experienced and have seen just about everything.

As for not liking the look of the freezemark - as long as your horse has one you can be pretty sure of still looking at your horse, that is a good deal less certain if they are not marked
