I have just found a lump on Jack (13yo corgi) in his chest towards his tummy. Going to book him in at work asap but can someone please give me some kind of reassurance:(

My Patterdale was full of lumps and warts at that age. They were all fatty deposits and didn't cause an issue. We did end up having one from under his tail removed as if it had grown it would have been a problem but otherwise we just left them alone.
Try not to panic!

My Corgi X Wallace, has heaps of them, some of which are quite large but they are just fatty lumps and as they don't cause problems the vet has advised just to leave alone. Let us know how Jack gets on though.

It is common for dogs to have lipomas (benign fatty tumours) and even more common in older dogs, so try not to worry. With any lump though, you are definitely doing the right thing in having the vet take a look.
