hey guys!
We have stables which are made from wooden but the maintenance of them has gone up a lot.
We're looking into demolishing it rebuilding it with brick, has anyone else done this? If so, whats your experience been and would planning permission be needed?

Talk to your Planning Officer about it, (in my area, you'd definitely need permission) Also, bear in mind that building materials are both scarce and super expensive at the moment, it's not a project I'd be rushing into at the moment ...

I have just done this. I did need planning permission. Mine had to come down due to being riddled with wood worm. You need to make sure that the base you have is suitable for brick stables as they are much heavier than wood and also bear in mind that the walls will be thicker so you need a bigger footprint for bricks to get the same internal size. Getting building materials and all types of skilled labour is difficult and expensive. The price of mine went up 10% in between quote and build - 3 months and timber for the roof trusses was very hard to come by.
