Before you all get up and go off to enjoy your Saturday, anyone really rate a grackle? Im finding it really hard to find a nice mexican grackle, padded and slotted headpiece, ideally with it being raised and maybe have some nice stitching on it.

Id love the Mark Todd bridle but they dont do it in a grackle, only a flash.

*MizElz tries desperately to remember where she got her Grackle from*

I think Ayr Saddlery do some nice ones....they may be Whitakers? My Mexican Grackle is raised, with white stitching, it's so lovely that when I switched to having brass instead of stainless steel on my tack, I took it in and got the saddler to replace all the metal on it!

But on second thoughts, it may actually have been a Dever....

Hehe at least youre having a go! Ive got one S Steel buckle left of my bridle and thats going to get swapped to brass...arent we a fussy lot..

Will search dever and ayr thank you..

This is my horse in his grackle bridle. Its a treadstone one and i bought it from 4 dobbin.com. Im really pleased with the quality and fit of it, and there is plenty of sheepskin on the the grackle noseband which i find are a bit lacking on some grackles. I would definitely recommend one!

My OH has one from Sederholm selected, and it is lovely but v expensive. I also like the Jeffries elite one if you can find a stockist as IMO jeffries leatherwork is the best.
