My cob mare is 23 now and getting stiff in her back legs. I want to make her as comfortable as possible so I need advice on supplements for joints what works what didnt. she is lightly ridden at the walk and is light work 3-4 days a week.

Thanks in advance for any replies :)

I fed Lucy Flexamine from feedmark. It was amazing stuff and you'd never have guessed she had spavins in both hocks :D
Merryn is only 10 but is stiff due to being obicec his whole life till he came to me. I feed him cider viniger and soya oil which seems to help. When he gets older I'll put him on flexamine to :)

Lots of different suggestions already but I found cortaflex to work wonders with my late gelding, completely transformed him. He was on the HA version (more powerful), I believe that the standard (green top) is to prevent problems, and the HA (yellow top) is for existing issues. Unfortunately not the cheapest but worked amazingly for him, highly recommend it! x

I was under the impression that joint supplements tended to be on the useless side of the supplement scale, unless they contained some form of Devil's claw/ bute alternative as the gut can't digest and use the things that the supplements contain...

I'd recommend Vetrofen. It's a Devil's claw alternative and works wonders on Reg.
