Well, after being out at the yard today I realised that I only lasted 10 minutes before my feet felt like they were being dipped in liquid nitrogen

So, I need some new boots, preferably:
- short jod boots, that will be comfortable with half chaps
- also suitable for working on the yard (as i'm really too lazy to change over boots for riding :P)
- non-slip preferably, as I can easily trip over on a flat surface without the help of ice.
- warm! Fleece lined would be lovely.

Thanks

I have some lovely thermal Mountain Horse muck boot type things that have a fur lining on the bottom (on the inside obviously) with laces and they are great in this weather!

Robinsons, Equestrian Clearance and Derby House etc are the best places to look

I have some thermal Mountain horse boots, they are the Rimfrost ones, they come in paddock boot style or long ones, love them, feet nice and toasty, today i have mucked out, walked dogs and basically not taken them off all day, still warm dry and comfy!

Looked up the Mountain horse boots and they certainly look cosy, thanks for the idea

Do you think half-chaps would fit over them, or are they possibly a bit chunky?

Hmm they are quite chunky but never tried them with 1/2 chaps as I don't ride in chaps. Hopefully someone else on here will have tried them with chaps.

Ooh those look cool monkeybum. Where's Old Dairy? I must confess i never get further than Pointings on Lansdown, it's only 5 minutes away so my knowledge of local tackshops is limited :P

p.s. Shouldn't YOU be revising instead of on HHO? :P I'm sure you're more conscientious about Biology than I am. It'll be interesting to see if we actually get into school, seeing as it's supposed to snow again tomorrow >.<

Old Dairy is about 35 mins from me so less for you. It's on the way to Chippenham.
It's not biology I'm worried about - Physics is going to be the epic fail. And don't forget snow on Monday and Tuesday according to BBC weather

Ah cool, i'll check it out sometime. Ahh yes, very glad I didn't take Physics - you are clearly insane to have done so

Hmm, sounds like it might be tricky :S. I wouldn't really mind them using my predicted grades as results, but god help them if they cancel and make us do them in June
