Need to get 2 pairs of overreach boots....one for field use (but not rubber as they last a day or 2 max!)
and one for schooling.
What do people prefer....woofwear, mark tod competition ones, professionals choice? which ones seem to be the toughest to destroy?!?!?!

I used the P.E. ones last winter for turnout (the ballistic ones) but they rubbed like mad. My horse has senstive skin and I can only get away with the pull on rubber ones for field use. I did try the velcro rubber ones but like you say they pulled apart within a week each time. The pull on ones Im using at the moment have been on 24/7 for the past 6 weeks and are still intact! If you havent tried a pull on pair of rubber overreach boots, they might work. Just a thought. :)

i have to admit mine is a bit sensitive too....she has got some woof wear ones which can rub too, whic need replacing as the mice had a bit too much fun with them! so the rubber ones were better from a rubbing point of view! but she bust them the day after i bought them pratting about in the field!
Pull on ones could be worth a go.....i will try it.

I found eskadron with fur for field and eskadron without fur for schooling ect. I found that they are extremely hard wearing and the fur round the edges means that you dont get any hair loss or marks around the coronet band :D

Westrop Ones. The petal ones. We used to call them clicky clacky boots when we were kids. They live forever and if u do break them just need to pop a spare petal on.

I had two pairs of Mark Todd, the no turn ones, that fell apart at the seams (literally!) after one XC schooling session! I then got a pair of Trizone, which survived a seasons eventing and schooling looking like new - they got chucked in the washing machine after every use as well!

I have red white and blue westrop ones for the field - you can't loose them and as other post states just swap out any broken petals. I pick up mine on ebay or horsey car boot sales.:D
