As winter is drawing closer, I think our very lovely but very pathetic greyhound would benefit from a dog bed and also an indoor fleece or something similiar.

He already has a waterproof coat, given to us by the Greyhound Trust, when we rescued him - which is fine for outdoors, but ovbiously he will need another one (or two, three ... !) for inside the house. Any reccomendations - if it makes a difference, he has very sensitive skin that is easily rubbed?

Also, dog-bed reccomendations please - as he's currently on a pile of old duvets with fleece blankets, there is still a noticeable draft, made worse by the fact that we have wooden floors and not carpet! Although, he doesn't curl up when he is lying down, but will either lay flat or on his back with his legs up in the air ... will there be a bed able to accomodate this ?

All help is much, much appreciated!

Try the coats on www.grwe.com, I have always found them fab (I have matching black Blizzard coats for mine - see pic

As far as beds are concerned, it has to be said that mine have always preferred the sofa to anything else

I also use old duvets for mine which they love, or a little fleece bed with raised sides which they curl up in (see pic)

However he has a rug for drying him off when he is soaked during the winter (our house is VERY cold and e doesn't dry otherwise!) It is an Aerborn Dog Rug (basically a Thermatex) absolutely fab for drying them and keeping them warm!

Then he has a GorPets bed (http://www.gorpets.co.uk/products/1.htm) which is very padded and snuggly.
We have no carpets either and our floor is freezing in winter, so we got an old piece of carpet for under it, for a bit of insulation.

They cost £6, are totally washable and you can change the colors on a whim
