Reccomendations for calmers?

can anyone reccomend a calmer?
Ishowjump my horse so i dont want it to make him lazy but need the edge taken off! hes not sharp as such, hes just very spooky and scared of his own shadow!!
Anyone tried and tested any?

i love blue chip karam it does wonders for my stressy mare. you can also give it too them by syringe an hour before needed i.e. vet, competition etc
 
Before you spend a fortune on 'calmers', I suggest you get a tub of Brewers' Yeast and give him two scoops a day for a couple of weeks. I will be surprised if you don't see a great difference in him. It's cheap, good for their digestion and works as a marvellous calmer.
