Visit site
.... and have seen a few things i'd like to get.
I just know it will be a waste of time at 8am on the 28th as i tried with the last sale, webpage either down or items sold out.... 1 hour after sale starts....hmm

I think I may be up visting family in that general area that week. If I am able to get away I may be able to have a look in the actual shop for you if you want.

 Have you been there on Sale day ... or any other day for that matter?
It's an awful shop!

I've never managed to get anything I wanted from a Robbo's sale leaflet... doesn't matter how 'prompt' I am, they are always sold out in the 'right' sizes... I just don't bother any more!

Ah the famous Robinsons sale !!! HURRAH !!! :D:D

There will be so many posts about it, how the last "bargain saddle" was sold via the shop the day before the sale, you choose something, IF it's in stock, you get to the checkout to be told the price has doubled.....but nothing is in stock anyway, and by this stage the website has crashed.

I used to love Robinsons - kitted Shy out from there, but something is not right any more, and i won't even consider buying from them. catalogue has gone way too thin, and they have cut down on using other suppliers - why ?

It's close but I wouldn't buy more than generic things from there.
Went in a couple of months ago for replacement rain sheet for cob. Lady laughed and said she didn't stock summer rugs in winter, they didn't have much that look less than a hw (regardless of mw labels...). Then we asked if there be anything in summer sale box. Were told very rudely that there wouldn't as it was winter so they should be in winter rugs. Also had helpful staff but that last one as a close place to grab a quick fix rug really pissed me off.

Yep I've given up on their so called sales too and totally agree with shys mum, the catalogue gets thinner and thinner every time recently, and it seems mostly full of requisite stuff. Which is now way over priced for a bargain brand. I used to buy their jods when they were £10-12 and now they're £35+! 😱

Theres not alot in it this time i don't think - thing that annoys me about the online shop is when you get to the check out (at the sales) all your stuff starts disappearing (out of stock) when you go to pay at the end!!
I was only saying this to my OH last night - imagine if real-life shops where like that when there was a sale on - everyone would be nicking stuff out of each others trolleys!! :D :D

I just got a rug from them half price in their rug sale. It arrived within 2 days and it's fab!

Have to agree though, I have been on for their sale before and nothing was in stock.

I used to long to be able to afford rugs out of Derby house and would buy them out of Robinsons instead, now I actually find Derby house much better price and quality. And of course there is eBay, haven't bought anything from Robinsons in a long time

Totally agree, I avoid it.... Derby house, Croston Corn Mill and Oakfield are all far better.... Luckily I live about a mile from DH

I used to love DH, but I think it's gone downhill. Last year I asked for DH vouchers for Xmas - went there for the sale and it was rubbish. Then went to the Robinsons sale and it was great. So this year it's Robinsons vouchers for me! Not that I actually need anything of course!

I've had the Robinson's sale catalogue and to be honest I couldn't see anything worth buying......... It has been going down the pan for years!

I know the online sale can be a bit of a non event but what is the shop like on sale day? are the offers limted to the ones in the sale leaflet or is it better than that with plenty of odds and ends on sale and real bargains?

Last time I went (which to be fair was over 15 years ago) it was just full of large contains full of stuff you had to rummage through, and if by some miracle you did find something in the right size /colour, then you may have a bargain...

Elbow pads recommended...

Most of the cardboard boxes of sale stuff were stuff that was used/ damaged that had been returned and they were selling - it stank of damp dirty horse and one rug I saw was disgusting. I was not impressed at all and spent my time hiding upstairs trying on boots and hats while my friends finished up.

I did get a dressage girth reduced, but it was the only one left and just happened to be in the size I needed. I don't think I'd go again!!

I went to the robinsons shop in cheshire about seven years ago - I was expecting something really good... it was a right hole. Primark of the horse world!
