Well Its been four weeks since farrier has been. We are onto eight week trims now but Im still paying attention to them and watching how they are developing but I am still learning this.

Kia's feet have been brilliant We have been for two long vaired terrain hacks and he stomped the whole way out and the whole way back, also cantering/galloping at his usual speeds

Hes still prefering tarmac and soft ground to really stoney stuff but he will get there I think

I'm not great telling things from photos but watching these feet in action the other day, there isnt much wrong with them

You know, the other day when we were out, 5 of the 9 horses (and 4 of the 6 that did the full ride) were barefoot. Its great that its becoming so popular these days - there must be a lot of happy horses out there

He was bouncing along wasnt he It was great hearing all the clipcloping coming from hard BF hooves and not Shoes

He was also the ONLY BF pony during the Lanark ride I did with my friends, they were stunned when they realised he wasnt clip clopping with the rest and that he was power trotting along with Sandy who is a long strided 16.2hh TB

They look a bit tatty still but hoping by the spring they will have settled
