Rechargable and / or Solar Powered Lights for Field?

Any recommendations folks?

I'd ideally like solar powered, but I'm guessing that rechargeable might be more sensible given that we're going into winter.

I don't know enough about them to know what my criteria is... I think it would be good if they could be hung from the rafters of the storage side of the shelter as well as moved around. Will possibly need them for farrier visits and any during-dark-hours vet's visits.

We use LED flood lights powered by a 'Leisure' battery. Works a treat! Just make sure you get 12V LEDs, not the ones for use with mains electricity.

I've got some rechargeable COB work lights from Amazon - they were very reasonably priced and give out a lot of light (1000 lumens) given how small and light they are. I've used them for lighting our school, lighting the barn when the lights failed, lighting the house when we had a power cut etc., so think they would be perfect for what you want.

We have solar-powered lights in the yard and stables, they have been good enough for an emergency vet to inject a colicking horse by. I can't remember the name of them but they came from Amazon. In fact because we have put them up in stages, as our needs changed I think we have probably used different companies' systems. the only time there has been any problem has been after a run of foggy days, when the power has run out.

Same as Petalpoos, hooked up to a leisure battery but ours is then hooked up to a solar panel and wind turbine to keep charge topped up.

I have found them great but I think you would probably need two sets to light a stable properly. They do charge up really well though and they have an on/off switch so not on all night like most solar powered lights are.

I use a couple of EVO SMD solar powered flood lights in my fields. They are remote controlled so I can switch them off/on - from quite a distance away too which is really useful!

I use these they are meant to be outdoor secuirty lights but I have them indoors. they work on a sensor but also have a button to turn on and off.

I have rechargeable led Erbaurer 20w lights from screwfix. I go them for riding in the paddocks but they are very useful for other random jobs.
Very bright.

I bought a solar powered floodlight from Clippersharp. It wasn't cheap but it's very good, 2 levels of light, on/off switch or sensor and can be used as motion sensitive security light. I also have a couple of rechargeable mobile lights from Screwfix, also good but not weather proof.

Full off grid solar set up here. No issues at all in winter and I run all sorts. It’s getting the correct set up, battery bank and panels for what you require. If it’s just one or two lights then rechargeable may be fine or small solar lights. If it’s lots of lights and running other things then go for a solar set up.

We have a similar set up. Installed about 8/9 years ago now I think. Never had a moments trouble with it and it has made life in the winter very doable.

I have dead cheap solar lights on the driveway. They last a few years before not charging so well. They are good enough for the low price, even in winter. Still light up in the morning.
