Does anyone have a homemade wash recipe for daily use on a sweaty horse? Just something to remove the sweat and leave the coat clean and shiny.

Was using Lavender Wash which is great but gets expensive when you have a few to do every day.

Thanks :)

I use an old plastic bottle (I use Robinsons drinks bottles) and fill it to almost full with white vinegar (brilliant for removing grease / sweat and makes them shiny) - you can buy big bottles of this at supermarkets or Costco, then add some drops of whatever essential oil you fancy - lavendar, eucalyptus, tea tree, lemon etc. mainly just because I think they smell good/fresh and are good for the skin.

Then I just fill a bucket with a bit of water and add a splash of it.

Brilliant, thanks for the recommendations. I'll see if I can track down a big bottle of white vinegar then :)
