My dogs need some new collars and I wondered if anyone had found good ones please as there seem to be lots. They are labs and like to swim and get filthy! Thank you.

I love my biothane collars. I got them from a small local business, but there are other companies/entities that make these. I have biothane leashes too.

They're easy to clean, don't smell, don't hold water, and are quite durable.

I second the recommendation for BioThane. I've actually started a small side business and BioThane items are one of the products I offer. I'm more equine focussed than canine though, so I'm not touting for your business!

I'm not overly familiar with the canine market, but I know it's getting quite saturated and so some people are competing on price by using other (cheaper) coated webbing but describing it as BioThane. Some other webbings may be of an ok quality, but some really aren't. So don't necessarily go for the cheaper option.

I made headcollars for my two ponies a few months ago, they wear them 13-14 hours a day in the field (as they have muzzles attached), and still look like new with just a wipe down.

I tend to go for fabric collars for my lab and have a few that I rotate so when they get wet / muddy they can be swapped out while I wash and dry them.
