I've never shown BC's only Lurchers/Whippets, but I do like a half choke set. As long as the choke and leather are in proportion to the dogs build of course! But, I'm intrigued re your Sheltie showing. Shelties are my (not so) secret dog crush and would love to hear more.:)

Thanks , my sister and i have owned Shelties since we were kids, we got into showing in our 20,s and started our own kennel name , we are not a ' big name ' breeder and only ever managed to make up an irish champion and get a reserve cc , we still have shelties , my sister does well at ob and heelwork to music and my daughter does very well in junior handling , we occasionally have a litter when we have people come back to us that have had a sheltie from us before , they are such great little dogs !

Well done you!:) Showing is not for the faint hearted! When the time comes for me to own a Sheltie, expect to get your ears pinned back!:D

No it's not for the faint hearted , god knows why we want to go into one of the numerically high breeds as well , agility is my main bag , only going to show the bc pup as he is very nice and can't start any agility training for age's yet , give us a nudge if you decide to become a sheltie owner , if we don't have any babies i know lots of people who may have x

Border collies are shown on a very thin long check chain so as not to disturb the neck hair and spoil the outline.:)
