Ideas anyone? In a regular jointed snaffle but trainer thinks horse is quite sensitive and wants me to try a thinner snaffle... Are there any thin jointed snaffle, would it have to be a loose ring? I'm a little bit bit ignorant!

My cob has to have a thinner bit due to her big tongue! she loves the neue schule, loose ring french link, goes lovely in it. Comes in different sizes (thin wise) and has different sized rings you can choose from.
Try the bit bank :)

Fylde do some bits with thinner mouthpieces. Also you could consider a bradoon which is often smaller all round

My horse has a fat tongue too, I use a JP Korsteel bit,its thin and shaped and she likes it. There is a good range of mouthpieces and metals ,and they are reasonably cheap,£20-£40.

Having same prob with my boy! Neue schule thinnest is 10mm so still wee bit thick for me.
Try jeffries eldonian range-the loop snaffles r very thin. I have tried with my boy 2 put cheekpiece in the look then have rein on ring not thro rein loop so theres no chance of extra poll pressure (soz if that doesn'tvmake sense!)
Also HF equestrian bitbank have quite a lot of thinner bits

According 2 their website informed bitting go down 2 6mm bits but I can't see any range etc on website & so far have had nu luck contacting them- if any1 has pls let me no!
