I have been given the money to get a new bridle for the little piebald coblet, yippee!

Only now I can't decide on what to go for. We do dressage in a snaffle. I want it in black, with a flash and preferably a crank.
I also don't want too thick a noseband - I know they are fashionable at the moment but Smartie's head is not his best feature and I think that would just draw attention to it!

I have been looking at the Albion Kb Crank Flash, which I have found for £242 and that would be my spending limit.

Any recommendations? Many thanks :)

I paid tons for my Jeffries - was rubbish quality though and had to get it restitched (important competition so didn't send it back). I asked the saddler how much to copy as I wanted one similar for jumping - £120 and better than the Jeffries - honestly I would only get bespoke again, I can specify width, colour, made to measure browband etc. Worth a thought IMO.

I love my jefferies!! ive had too the IR was just beautiful and now got a wemberly one which i think is lovely quality better than any other ive seen so bit controversial :) x

Perhaps I was unlucky then. Certainly I had dreamed of being able to get the bridle then OH stumped up the cash:):). Still think having made to measure is great though - all mine seem to be too big for FS browband and to short for FS cheeks!

With that money you can get something really wonderful. My recommendation would be a made to measure by Izzy Russell (of IR bridle fame) at Stroud Saddlery. The best workmanship you will ever see. If you are near then she will come out to fit your horse for it, but if further away then you can send her your measurements and pick every tiny aspect of your bridle - including obv the lovely shaped and padded headpiece - if it's good enough for Toytown and Utopia! http://www.stroudsaddlery.co.uk/

I have a sabre cordoba bridle and it is lovely. Padded and soft and has the comfort head piece. So nice I want another when I get the money so I don't have to keep changing bits for dressage and jumping. (lazy i know) :-)
