I've seen Monty Roberts and Kelly Marks, really enjoyed their demonstrations and I felt I got a lot from it (I don't buy into the merchandising). One of our horses was used during a demonstration and we were amazed with the results!

What I would like to know is...are there any under the rador trainers that are worth seeing? I only really know of the obvious names in our equine world.

Did anyone ever see Linda Tellington-Jones or Sally Swift??

Many Thanks!!

I saw Linda Tellington Jones in a horse expo in the States.

She does do a very good demonstration - worked on plastic desensitivation and loading.

Would have found a Sally Swift lecture fascinating, but Sally has passed away.

The BHS book shop (online) sells the Centred Riding DVDs. £34 for set of 2 or £20 each.

The first one is particularly good and well worth the £20.

Linda Tellington-Jones was very good, I'm not sure that she travels to the UK any more, she must be getting quite old, also they do a great deal with dogs now - probably a larger market. But her methods and books are excellent.

Mark Rasid - amazing, amazing MUST see if you get the chance. Katheleen Lindley was his assistant for 2 years and also did a great demo. She competed in show jumping and had a lot of good tips for jumping.

Off to see Mark Todd next weekend. I've seen him twice before and he was brilliant, inspirational and straight forward. Looking forward to feeling inspired again!

Have also seen him, I liked him, very different approach to all the more 'natural' stuff that is floating about these days.

Thank you very much for everyone's input!

Lindas methods are great. The Ttouch "head office" in UK is in Somerset - Tilley Farm. I got into Ttouch with some of my "problem children" I hit the proverbial "brick wall". Because Ttouch use body work, ground work and ridden work I feel that this was a factor in the success I have had with my horses.

Lindas sister Robyn Hood comes to UK regularly and works with horses, dogs, companion animals etc. She is a wonderful teacher. So patient. Courses are run regularly at Tilley Farm.

If you want a list of courses - both at Tilley Farm and countrywide, there is a list that is regularly added to - http://www.ttouchtteam.co.uk/TTEAMCourses.html

Gillian Higgins (Horses Inside Out) is DEFINITLEY worth a watch. I have seen her 3 times this year, and have got her book and DVD. She's very good, and I found it useful to learn how you can get the best results from your horse by understanding how it's body "works" first.
I went to see her demo with Gerd Heuschmann in September too, that was amazing!
