Don’t mind paying £££ for a decent hat; my Samshield is looking quite tired and has seen better days!

I've thought about KEP and uvex but not sure how good they are.

Charles Owen is a no as they give me terrible migraines.

Thanks in advance! Xx

Not KEP . There's a lengthy thread on them on here if you do a search.

As ever, it's the hat that best fits your head which is the one to go for.
Agree. Get it fitted by someone trained in a shop unless you are just replacing like for like. There was a lot in the shop that didn't fit my head.

I bought one in a shop sale the other day and was surprised what fitted and what didn't. I opted for the Shires Karben Sienna in the end.

Agree with Tiddlypom and Birker2020. The best hat for you is the one that fits best, with the highest safety standards that you can afford. There's no point in having the latest hat but it being too expensive for you to replace if you have a fall or the hat otherwise gets bashed. And don't be offended if it is suggested that a junior or child's hat is ideal for you - they are cheaper (no VAT)

Thanks everyone; didn’t know about KEP so will have a look! My 2 local tack shops don’t stock samshield so considering something else. Will of course get fitted xx

I have always bought children's size hats. Charles Owen ones are the most comfortable ones for me. The fact that children's hats are VAT-free,therefore less expensive, doesn't hurt, either!
