As title really. Horse will be living out 24/7 over the winter so it needs to be a decent one, preferably with a detachable neck.

Thanks :)

Best rugs in my opinion are Premier Equines. Depending how heavy a rug you need they do weights from 200g, 300g and 450g or they also do the trio buster which is a 100g outer with detachable liners (100g, 200g and 350g) and 2 detachable neck covers (100g, 200g) which all comes as one package at a very resonable price considering the quality. :D

I like Rambo rugs, my heavy weight doesnt have a detachable neck, but I'm sure they do them with. I like mine because it fits nicely without rubbing shoulders, and it keeps them warm, but it doesn't weigh too much. Some of the cheaper makes are heavier, but don't keep the horses as warm.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Yes I had a Masta one last year that was extremely heavy, especially when it was wet I could hardly lift it!

Horse ware Rambo supreme- without a doubt the best winter rug I have ever used. Comes in different weights but the heavy weight is gorgeously warm- wintered my tb out in one and he was so snug. Not cheap but worth every penny- have had mine for 4 years now and it's still like new. The neck cover is detachable and also has filler in it. I have premier equine rugs but feel they compare.
