Tried to fix the zip on my current jacket and have managed to break it completely, so looking for a replacement. I'm finding that online catalogues give very little information about important features and sizing!
I would like
- lightweight but wind and showerproof
- not rustly
- decent size pockets with zips (horse is clicker trained so I always have pocketfuls of small treats)
- a good inside pocket for phone, keys etc.
- preferably some bits of high viz, but I don't want a full bright yellow jacket - some panels or strips would be good though, or just a fairly bright coloured material
- a bit fitted would be nice
I'm a size 10/12, the old jacket is 'Pro Team' and labelled medium. It's never been showerproof though.
Thanks in advance!

I wear my walking jackets to ride in - summer and winter. Berghaus and Musto. OH and I walked for years before I began to ride. When riding, I put a flimsy hi viz waistcoat over the top. It is of sentimental value as it was a gift from an RS owner years ago and has their RS logo on it.
I do sometimes look at other high viz jackets which would be smarter. But my original stuff was expensive. It has been washed in Nikwax and is still fine.

I've got a couple of nice Shires ones, a short and a slightly longer one, definitely not rustly, decent pockets, withstand heavy rain for a good few hours. Both mine are black, though I think they do come in brighter colours. They are reasonably priced too
