Little Stig is being scrubbed tomorrow no matter what!
Need a nice gentle shampoo thats not going to cause any more problems for his skin.
His skin is obviously very scurfy and he does still have the burns though they are dry and scabbed over.
Any ideas?

vosene or head and shoulders if scurffy then rinse well and finish with a bucket of water with a good glug glug of brown vinegar to take coat ph back to normal.

Boots do an own-brand lavender shampoo and matching conditioner. The results are gorgeous - clean, happy, fragrant ned with hair and skin as soft as silk. Little Lavender Stig lol x

I have used polytar on scurfy horses with great results, not very expensive from the chemists. For "everyday" bathing I use a liquid wool detergent, the horse stays sleek and the coat is dirt repellent for a few days. And if you're nerdy like me and the smell of laundry is nostalgic of your childhood.... lovely!
