Recommend me a sales livery in the south west...

South west where exactly? I used Charlotte Rowe, she's based just outside of Exeter. She backed our young horse with a view to selling him, and he did sell, I'd recommend her. Price was average for the work required I guess.

South West is huge...if you can narrow down the area you are in, I'll help as I know yards all over the place but little point in writing 90% of them down depending on where you are :) xx

Thanks all. Somerset/Wiltshire would be ideal but I'm happy to travel a bit further for the right place - Dorset, Devon, Glos, etc.

Ok...Sam Dempsey and Julia Longarini at D&L Performance horses. Mark Todd has one of his clients horses with them, they are without doubt the most honest, genuine and trustworthy horse professionals I have ever come across and I'm not just saying that as a friend...they have become good friends because I was first a client, bowled over by their attitudes, treatment and management of the horses and they way they ride.

There is another member on here who knows them very well and has a horse with them at the moment who they are doing a brilliant job with, but it's for her to come on and say more if she wants to.

They are both gifted riders they have people go back to them time and time again for new horses. Quality yard, quality horses and a fantastic reputation. Your horse would have 5* treatment and I have no hesitation in saying how thrilled you would be with them.

They have a website now...

www.dlphorses.com

Tell them Cheryl pointed you in their direction. Alternatively, just give Sam a call. He's around all day today so won't mind. I can PM you his number if you need it, but it should be on the website.

:) xx

Haha I think _GG_ is referring to me!!

I have a very large, very handsome but very green 4yo ISH with Sam at the moment. (For anyone that remembers the Goresbridge shopping thread!).

Henry isn't an easy horse due to his probably rushed start and size but Sam is doing wonders with him. (julia is also very good but Sam is mainly dealing with Henry). They have shown him kindness and calmness and he's relaxed and coming on leaps and bounds. They have kept me up to date with everything that's been happening, and allowed me to be one of those annoying people who wants to turn up all the time to say Hello to Henry and spend a bit of time with him.

I'd love him to stay a little longer but at the start of next month I'll be bringing him home to continue the work. However, I do know that if he needs to be packed off to boarding school again in the future he'll be going no where else apart from with Sam and Julia.

PM me if you want anymore info.
