Recommend me a sweet itch rug please

I am looking for a good quality rug for Blue who does, I suspect, suffer from sweet itch.

I bought him a cheap Amigo fly rug that lasted 24 hours as he trashed it so looking for something a bit more substantial.

He is being treated with Z-itch so hopefully that will stop the itching, then I need a decent rug to stop the blighters getting at him. I know that Boett are brill, but was hoping not to have to spend that amount on a rug. Obviously if I have to I will, but are there any cheaper alternatives?
 
I've recently bought the Hyguard rug from Equestrian Clearance - delighted with it - been very hot here last couple of days , field companions sweating buckets, SI horse cool as a cucumber under her rug! And she isnt at all itchy despite millions of the little beasties hovering around her. Good value for money IMO.
 
I recommend the Rambo Sweet Itch Hoody. Worked really well for a mare I was looking after, it's very tough and stands up to a lot of abuse! The current one is four years old and as certainly been well tested!
 
The rambo sweet itch hoody is good and is the only one my horse youngster hasn't managed to destroy, he does itch as soon as its taken off though but not so much when wearing it
 
Boett rugs are amazing. Good coverage and sturdy material, keeps really cool as well. Kept my welshy pony in show condition. Bit higher price than other ones around but has last him ages! Think its been about 5 years! Wash well too :)
 
Just got the Masta Bug Rug for less than half the price of the Boett and it's so similar that I couldn't go back to spending £170+ every three years or so. I have used Boett and Snuggy over the years and they have both done a good job, the udder cover on the Snuggy was very useful. There is an updated and improved version of the Snuggy out now, which I would probably look seriously at, but again it is quite expensive. I'd use either again but it depends on how much you are prepared to spend and if it is definitely sweet-itch then IMO, normal types of fly rugs don't generally offer enough protection.
