Pony has slight sweet itch- enough to make him rub his mane and tail but not so much he goes bald. I've just been using standard combo fly rugs and a mask but I'd like to get a proper sweet itch rug for him. I've heard good reviews for the Rambo sweet itch hoody but just seen the prices  I've also heard the premier equine sweet itch rug is good? It's around £75. Are there any other good ones?

Thanks :o

Not being funny here but why don't you run an electric fence inside the bushes/trees so that he's got nothing to rub on - that's what we've done.

Rambo sweet itch hoody for my boy, he's wearing it tonight in fact :)

He did have a Boett but he seriously disliked the overhead manouvres of putting it on so now he has 2 Rambos

I used a masta bug rug last year, very similar to the Equitheme one. It lasted all summer and only ripped when my daughter didn't open the gate wide enough and she caught it on it. I've just bought 2 on equestrian clearance for £40 each (full neck that stays up but face section is extra- I still have last years though) have to say my mare doesn't have classic mane and tail sweet itch she has a severe allergy to bites so she only itches her skin raw when she gets too many bites. Maybe she just wasn't itchy with it on? Did the job very well for me though. I also have heard great things about the more expensive Rambo one

I love the premier equine rugs, very hard wearing and very good quality. I like the all round peach coloured one, but I heard they aren't going to be making this one for much longer?
