Missing the close contact feel I get from my Torsion on the bigger ones, and pony changes shape a lot - it's a pain to keep swapping saddles/pads!
What we've already tried (for info lol)
- My Torsion: bit too long but not horrific. Girthed up (non-slip girth) and went to hop on - uh, nope. Not stable enough to get on, let alone ride in! Saddle base and pommel block too wide for pony.
- An old-style Freeform: stable but seat not deep enough for the 180 degree spins and sliding stops and base (SB) a bit long to which pony did not react favourably.
- Size 0 Barefoot Cheyenne: pony liked, felt comfy and I could get on without it feeling too unstable but didn't stand up to proper pony spooks and ended up under her tummy with me on the floor.
- HM Fhoenix: NEVER AGAIN! Only saddle to cause physical damage to pony under stirrup bars. Lumps and white hair.
So... anyone got any bright ideas? Are we stuck with treed? If so any ideas for treed saddles with more flexibility, in max 16.5" length?
