Recommend me a vacuum cleaner

I have also given up on Dysons... they are just not as good as they used to me... now have a Kirby.... it looks like something out of the 70's and gives you a work out everytime you use it, but the suction is amazing... also, as there are so many gadgets, OH will actually use it!!!

It looks as though there is a Miele Cat & Dog in three versions nowadays: C1, C2 and C3. Presumably the £130 one is not as good?
We have the old version: it's lasted over 10 years so far! It's a fantastic hoover - bought my mum one a few years ago as she found she is allergic to dog hair and has a jack russell. It's really helped. Hers is also the old version, though.
 
I sent this thread to the friend I am staying as she has been hoover wingeing (have dyson, had vax, had hoover before that I think)
The miele cat and dog arrived this morning, it has a nice glide ;) and has so far been mostly tested with christmas tree needles :D
 
The new Bosch arrived 2 days ago, it's been for a spin around the house and I love it! It has quite a few gadgets, different full size heads, but it's nice and quiet and yet powerful.
 
Just got Henry love him does the carpets and hard floors brilliantly and sorts out cat hair too and disgraceful porch.
