Hi all,

So its that time of year again. Given that all the weather seems to do is rain of late I am in need of a waterproof coat.

Musts are:

Have a hood (for dashing to the field when not wearing a hat)
Be suitable for riding and yard duties
Actually be waterproof
Have Zip pockets (so important things don't fall out)
I hate elasticated hems on coats
Not make me look like jabba that hut (pretty please)

Not to bothered about padding/filling- in fact id rather it didn't have any so that i can continue to wear it into the spring and layer underneath instead.

That is all :)

Try karrimore jackets from sports direct. I got one last year for £50. It is fully waterproof, I've never got wet yet, foldaway hood, detachable fleece lining so I've worn it as a simple waterproof through summer. It is long enough to keep your bottom dry while still being short enough to not get in the way when riding. Love mine, can you tell haha!

I have a Mark Todd coat (New Zealand collection) that I got in the sale last year. It's two sizes too big (only size left) and it's still super flattering.
Waterproof, stylish, hooded and has more zipper pockets that one would ever need!

Totally recommend.

Ive bought the karrimor coat; from the link above- £27 is such a bargain and Karrimor usually do great coats so I hope it will fit the bill!
Tanks Becca-84 for the suggestion!
