Musto no longer seem to sell their 'combination' jacket, but I am thinking along those lines - don't want anything too short or fitted (needs to go over my BP) and it must be truly waterproof and breathable, with a 2-way zip and plenty pockets....
thanks in advance

I find that non-horsey gear tends to perform better for the money - a double ended zip will make it more compatible with riding, though clearly there will be no rear vent. I like Marmot, am currently considering Jack Wolfskin, and also find that soft shells can be more useful - almost waterproof (just no taped seams, will still be more waterproof than most riding jackets) but much more breathable. I use windproof fleece for schooling, even when it's raining (not very heavy rain though), as I get so warm - Polartec Windpro has no membrane so is very breathable and can be very thick and warm for winter schooling.
