I'm doing something very painful and stupid in a few weeks' time, 10k through mud and stuff. So, I may as well do something good out of it. I'd like to help an Egyptian animal charity, has anyone n
Any recommendations?

There is a lady who posts on here, whose daughter is working at an Egyptian horse/donkey charity, with updates of the excellent work she is doing. I just can't quite remember her name ..... I think the daughter is Rebecca. Anyone ?

Also vote for Prince Fluffy Kareem. Look them up on Facebook. The name will then make sense. They deal with the most horrific neglect and injury.

i have a good friend in egypt and she has been involved in ACES for years, what they see in egypt of prince fluffy kareem is not good,

ACES rarely buy a horse but look after them whilst they heal and regain strength and then those that are able return to work but are monitored in their condition by doing this they are supporting not only the horses but the people of egypt who are struggling so much just to put food on the tables for the families that own the horses.

they also work hard to educate the youngsters that will soon be responsible for all the ponies alongside their fathers who care for them now, it is often the children that make their fathers bring the ponies in when they are injured or unwell.

ACES also provide a place where ponies/donkeys can come to rest, eat, drink, roll on the ground and be washed down, this area is open for all ponies to use every day.

ACES also provides a neutering scheme for cats and dogs, as well as vet clinics for all animals-NOTHING is turned away

Brooke does not have the best reputation either as it has become larger some of the money seems to go on advertising.

I have just been talking today with some volunteers from this charity!

The Egypt Horse Project - they have a qualified vet accompany them on mobile clinics, Dr Hassam and the young woman who runs it is a qualified barefoot trimmer.

Not sure who comes on here and bitches, but I know I have been SLATED by some on here for supporting Ashleigh at The Egypt horse Project.

Rural Wellness Initiative is also excellent and again, use qualified vets for their clinics.

Hmmm there's a lie right there - she is NOT a qualified barefoot trimmer *wonders how many other lies have been told*

PFK is a genuine charity (they recently got charity status) TEHP is not.
