We are starting our arena build on Monday (could not be more excited!) and I'm wondering if I can find an instructor who might be prepared to come and give us a few lessons at home as got three horses and can only transport two at a time.

I would be happy to have someone separate for flatwork and jumping if need be as would like to pick up eventing again this year. We are between Oxford and Banbury - can anyone recommend anyone suitable?

Owen Cooper and Katie Richards are based at Swalcliffe near banbury, both great riders/teachers - they produce eveners and dressage horses

You could try George Martin from Babington Dressage (http://www.babingtondressage.co.uk/). Not sure if he travels though?

There's also Emma Leech (or her mum Dedi) from EL Dressage (http://eldressage.co.uk/) which is in Bletchingdon near Oxford? I know Dedi definitely travels to people's yards for lessons and she is an absolutely brilliant trainer! I imagine Emma might travel too (though she's usually busier riding her own horses).

I've also had lessons with Dedi Leech. Learnt a lot and my riding and horse improved a lot in a short space of time. I've never known her to travel to a yard but know that her daughter Emma does travel. Emma is equally as good!

Fred Bergendorff, Strangers Hill, Banbury - PM me if you want his number. An ex 4 star eventer who represented Sweden at the europeans and who then turned to show jumping; he was one of the coaches on the 'Only Fools on Horses' TV series a few years ago. UKCC level 3 coach. Very good.

Totally second DiDi she is a fab trainer - had lessons last year until rain stopped play! She got me riding the best i have in years.

Natalie Allen is Kineton/Banbury way, she trains with Carl Hester and also has a few eventer liveries on her yard so is pretty good for 'all-round' flatwork training, as well as more specialist dressage training if you want it. She is very busy though so might be pushed to get her to come to your yard but if you are looking for 3 lessons in one day then you might get her to come to you.

Never had a lesson with George from Babington dressage but have seen him compete and he's a lovely person and a nice rider too, plus he trains with Gareth Hughes so got a good background there.

Cant help on jumping though I'm afraid, dressage is more my thing!
