Recommend me some lightweight grippy riding gloves!

As above really. Ive got some thick leather winter ones but theyre too thick and warm for this time of year but when I rode out this morning without any and I was hot, even the rubber reins were slippery. Only want them for hacking out so not looking to spend the earth. Any recommendations?

I have got some Good Hand gloves from countrywide (cant find them online sorry) they are about £20 but they are really thin leather with mesh panels on the knuckles so keep your hands cool

macwet are definately the best but usually around £25. For something cheaper go for a crochet glove, mountain horse do good ones (around £10 i think)and i think robinsons do their own version for a bit less..

Ariat gloves are all great. The Air Grip gloves are good for summer - excellent grip and mesh backs so not nearly as hot as any others I have tried. The only ones I have used which are cooler had to compromise grip!

Another vote for Macwets- I'm about to get another pair as mine are now one big hole, having said that they are about 3 years old and are worn every time I ride, love them.

I've got the Ariats, too. £23, so a bit pricey, but I love them. Very grippy in wet and dry, plus machine washable - always a bonus!!

harry hall ones sold in tesco, they have elastic panels in so your hand deosn't feel restricted, about £6

i like the roeckel chester gloves. They are really good, grippy and look smart if you're showing/competing.

I've got these ones by Good Hands. Cheap and cheerful but really comfy. I particularly like them because I have very small hands and have trouble finding gloves that aren't ridiculously long on my fingers, and their Small size fits perfectly

my winters have done 2 years but need replacing, mostly because of squeezing my silks underneath them . oh and they did nearly get lost on a muddy dark winter track.. Summers on year 2 still going strong
