After a massive battle this weekend I finally got my mare clipped, 2 trips to Robinsons and a new set of blades as my 2 set that had just come back from sharpening were still blunt!
Even with the new blades im convinced my clippers just didn't sound right! they are about 8yrs old and I used them every 8 weeks-ish! so they've had a lot of use! They are liveryman clippers and I really like them but they are pretty loud, so thinking I might get some new quieter clippers for when I need to start clipping my youngster!
so what can you recommend? both horses are connie x tb's and get quite a thick winter coat, so need to be able to battle thought all the hair, and my mare has cushings so she get an extra thick coat and is clipped all year round! so something that's up to a fair amount of work!
my current clippers get hot pretty quickly!
THANKS
