Recommend me some short riding boots / trainers - please!!!!

Hi everyone,

I seem to be getting through a lot of riding footwear recently, in the past 6 months I've been through jod boots, country boots, hunters and classic riding boots- with none suiting me really! What i'd like is some riding trainers, a girl on my old yard had some ariat show ones that looked lovely, but I can't seem to track them down?!

I want something flexible, comfy and not too chunky, anyone got any ideas? I've been looking at the dublin pilgrim boots- anyone tried them?

Thanks in advance, country shops by me not great, all 3 tried to sell me some massive steel toe cap workman boots!
 
I had a pair of Dublin Spirit's.... which were the ones before the Pilgrims and I LOVED them. They were so comfortable from day one... it was like wearing my slippers! :D BUT.... the soles are very thin and within a few weeks of average wear, I started being unable to walk on gravelly ground without it bruising the soles of my feet. In the end I added TWO pairs of insoles inside the boot which helped a lot, but then the zip went on one of them and I gave up and ditched them. It was heart-breaking as I found them really comfortable and easy to put on with the zips. All of Dublin boots seem to have a similar sole so I wouldn't buy them again until they start thickening them up a bit.....

I was going to try Shires' Broadway boots but they now seem to be discontinued... :(
 
now I know they're not trainer styled, but I got jodh boots last spring & they are still in great shape after almost 365 wear ! They are the steel toecapped boots by Gallop & I think I got them at Fast Tack Direct for about £45. Best boots I've ever had. Soft leather so no blisters wearing them in, & sooooooooo much better than the more expensive Mountain Horse ones that died within 5 months ! I can't recomend them highly enough !
 
I had the musto innovation ones a couple of years ago and they were mega comfy, they're not chunky at all. However I wore them everyday for about 8 hours a day and they did fall apart after 3 months. I also didn't really look after them very well tbh. I still have them though as they are so comfy! Bit of duct tape....:)

this, i LOVED my dublin spirit boots, wore them 12 hours a day (all day at work, riding and all yard work) for about 2 years, wanted to cry when they eventually died :(

the pilgrim boots look really nice, and i wouldn't hesitate in buying a pair :D
 
Thanks everyone, this has really helped! I'm leaning towards some woof ones now I think, although equestrian clearence have the musty ones for £30 just not in my size-grr!!!
