Recommend me some wellies please....

Loved my Ariat Mudbusters .... at first. If only they didn't split they'd be perfect! Now on my third replacement pair from Ariat - admittedly they do have excellent customer service and have replaced them each time with no quibbles but really useless boots, all 3 pairs have split in less than a year each time, the last pair in less than 6 months :(

exactly how i felt i really liked my mudbusters but only had them for 5 months and know they are useless have sent ariat a email so shall see what they say.

Think i will be getting some Le Chameau wellies from all the good reports you guys have said :D

My Le Chameau boots have lasted 10 years so far and still going strong, I wear them nearly everyday when poo picking, mucking out etc. Definitely getting another pair when these die.

Those with Le Chameaus, which model(s) do you have? I've just a quick look at their website and there seem to be lots of different types ....

I loved my Ariat mud busters but alas they split within 8 months. Vowed I wouldn't buy another pair but after trying every welly under the sun on and not being happy with the fit and level of comfort, I relented and bought another pair in the hope my first pair had been from a rogue batch. Sadly not and second pair went the same way. Bearing in mind I don't wear wellies all day (short walk to field two or three times a day) and not in dry weather I just can't fathom out why it seems impossible to keep a pair leak free for more than 6-8months. Have muck boots now so will have to wait and see. British company making similar sort called Rok? claim to be very hard wearing so would like to know more about them should the muck boots fail.

My first pair of aigle parcours lasted well over 10 years of sone serious use - still have them as a back up pair but slightly perished as so old. Just got my second pair for Christmas. They are so comfy. Never had a blister from them even in thin socks. Well worth every penny!!
