I use Liverpool wood pellets. I have tried other brands but really think Liverpool are the best. They stay whiter for longer and seem to be the most absorbent
I use verdo, they're brilliant, but I do mix in a bit of shavings with them to lighten up the bed a bit (the texture, not the colour), only a bale of shavings every 6 weeks or so, and a bag of pellets a week. Works very well for me and economical too.
There are numerpous suppliers around the country, Google to find the nearest & you may save on delivery costs. Additionally if you buy the pellets as fuel then I believe you pay onlt 5% vat against full vat if you buy the same pettets as bedding. It's a matter for you.
I use Liverpool Wood Pellets. Super fast delivery, really absorbent and super quick to muck out. They also make a really nice, white, fluffy bed when down.
My only problem is that I need to take the wet out more often than recomended as my horse is stabled the majority of the time, so is very wet, if it's left even a day too long it's a pain to set it right again!
I use Five Star Professional. Used Verdo for a while but found they wern`t very absorbent and went really dark really quick.
Have used Liverpool in the past but much prefer the Five Star ones & they're cheaper per kg too
Ive used a few different brands all of which have been comparable absorbent and gave a fairly light coloured bed. Ive recently had some verdo (my dad picked them up for me) which i HATE not very absorbent and very dark in colour I will defiantly not get another batch
