hi do you have stable matting for a heavy horse, say 17hh upwards and big
grin.gif
? if so where did you get it from, what size horse does it have, and would you recommend it?

looking at fieldguard with the M2 with the drainage system and just wondering what others have as have a lot of square foot to cover

thanks!

I have a 16.3hh Clydesdale x. He is on 6'x4' rubber mats which came from the people who make polyjumps. They are made in canada. Even with his weight and road pins on his shoes they still look new 6 years on.

interesting, theres so many out there but dont want to invest a couple of grand in them and then have one of the boys lift them up within 5 seconds!

any more? has anyone got the fieldguard m2?

We have equimat in our stables and have the thicker, 28mm mats in our 17.2 ID mares stable. Last time she was weighed, was last week when she got wormed and she was 750kgs and not the daintiest of creatures. Her stable is 15 x 15 and the mats haven't budged. It helps that they interlock.

Equimat often do show offers if they have a stand.

I got quattro ones, got them out to fit them and seal them too, all in including delivery it came to under £350 for a large stable and they have stood up well to use by a 16.3. I can highly recommend their service, they were fabulously helpful, efficient when fitting them and easy to deal with.

I have stablelite mats - they are now 8 years old and have had our 16.3 clydesdales on them and are still as good as new - not cheapest but very thick and heavy and let the pee soak through so the bed stays dry, though the taking them up every other year can be fun - hence I pay the teens on the yard £40 to do it for me.

They have never lifted or moved and I am very pleased with them and am about to do out the stable for my cob with them.

thanks all, sounds like equimats or quattro may be best to go, is it best to get sealed, or locked? do u lift sealed ones to clean under?

ok so equimats, fieldguard and horsemat.co.uk and technix rubber are ones ive found

what width do people have? the prices seem to be going from a couple of grand to over 10k
