I really need to buy a new pair of breeches for everyday riding, as I ride about 6 a day on average they must be comfortable and hard wearing! Happy to spend slightly more if they will last better, fed up with cheap ones dieing after a month or so.

So can anyone recommend a good pair? And also give me a hint on sizes etc, I vary between a 24 and a 26 depend on the make, so would be good to know if they come up big/small, short/long

Thanks

I live in some green twill type Eurostar ones with a 3/4 suede seat that has stayed super soft depite lots of washing. They also have a small rip in both knees (where I fell off...) but the hole has stayed tiny and not freyed (I haven't stitched it up) because the fabric is just brilliant. They haven't gone baggy either.

I have a cream 'Xdream' Eurostar pair for competing too. They seem true to size but I have a Pikeur pair which are 22, my Cavallos are 24 and I think the green Eurostar ones are 26 (and a little big) so its hard to say.

I also really rate Cavallos for repelling dirt and Pikeur are very comfy too.

Bentex are ace and very hard wearing, I found the likes of dublin full seated breeches I would wear through very quickly and they were £70!!
Bentex are expensive but last ages!!
Just Toggs breeches are good also.
Loved my Mark Todds but I wear through them quickly

Toggi Isis are great. As my balance has improved I've gone from full seat (barbour and cavallo) to the Toggi ones - not only do they last longer but they're half the price (£60) and wash well...

wait for the joules sale, and pick up their breeches for £15 a pair

they are comfy and stretchy and last a long time!
im just too much of a cheap skate to pay full price for them

Pikeur or RTS Bentex. At the moment I seem to be wearing the RTS ones with knee patches more than the Pikeurs, ordereddirect from Germany the RTS knee patch ones are about £40 a pair, colour does tend to fade quite quickly on them though but very comfy.

Bentex, very hard wearing, very very sticky... far more so than pikeur and cavallos, both of which i also have. far cheaper too. i live in my bentex ones, full seat. colour hasn't faded so far, wish it would as i got them off ebay and they're greeny-turquoise!
they've brought their sizing into line with the other manufacturers now apparently.

Thanks for that site, I've just had a look on there and some of the bits and bobs look great.
