Thinking of taking the plunge and buying some clippers. Im a one horse owner and will probably do 3 hunter clips a year. No need to do legs. What would you recommend for me?

I've had Liveryman Arenas for years, which have been good, but I borrowed a pair of a friend's Lister Stars last year and found them lighter, they clipped closer and they stayed cool for much longer, so I'm buying a pair of those this year!

Lister star are probably the best bet if you want a mains clipper. I did a full clip last night with Liveryman Harmony Plus clippers last night which are good - but it did take a while!

I also have Lister Star clippers (for one very wooly pony, do about 4-5 blanket clips from Sept-March), now going into their third winter, and have been very happy with them. They are powerful enough to cope with the thick winter coat, don't heat up quickly and are reasonably light.
I got them on offer in a combo deal with a set of Legato trimmers from mole valley. Probably a good time of year to keep an eye out for deals.

Lister Star are a good "economic clipper", small to hold and light. My best advice with them,is take out the "extended warranty" with Lister when you purchase as if they do go wrong outside warranty they are expensive. But even with the warranty, they are good value. Ensure you have your blades lapped when sharpened, use Lister oil and keep the filters clean. Should do you fine. I think they are still better than the Liveryman Arena, which IMHO are not as reliable or as good a quality as the earlier Arena.
