Recommend some good horse boots?

I've been recommended to get some protective boots for my westphalian mare who's 16.1hh and very lightweight.

She dishes (very) slightly but she doesn't seem to brush or knock herself; however, she is lunged before being ridden and also sometimes is spooky and somewhat accident prone (she's already managed to get a couple of ugly grazes on her body in the 3 weeks i've had her!)

ATM, she's just asked to walk trot canter in the school and a course of small jumps a few times a week, but the jumps will go up in time.

Can anyone recommend boots that will fit well and won't rub a very lightweight horse but will also provide protection?

Preferably an easy-to-source brand at a reasonable price/long-lasting.

my westphalian was the same.... the more work he had the better he got though!

woof wear are a good option IMO for value for money, though i found the velcro went relatively quickly (i'm talking 4 years, where my prolite boots have lasted 10!)

prolite are fab, but a bit more expensive.
 
for any sort of cross country work, or bigger jumping i would go for prolites, or trizone tendon boots for SJ.

for every day i have found the mark todd 2 strap brushing boots to be very good. excellent value, and easy to source from ride away. wash well too
 
I have the woof wear club boots (cost about £17.00 a pair) for my ex racer and they suit him down to the ground, don't rub and dry really quickly if you wash them. My old boy has SMB's on all four legs and I'm sure they have allowed to carry on working long after he would without them as they give brilliant support. Are a bit pricey though about£70 a pair but you can buy them direct from the states which can work out better.
 
echo toomanyhorses with the smb boots-they are fantastic but damn expensive-if you want a more substantial boot but without the price tag of smb's i'd have a look at new equine wear boots. very tough and really well designed with loads of support,they're under priced imo!
 
If you want something cheap, lightweight and durable, buy some second skin brushing boots - if you want to go a bit more fancy go for the deluxe ones rather than the Cub ones.

IMO they are better finished than the Woof Wear and cheaper. They have the double close velcro on some of them and I have used mine for over 3 years now, with regular use and washing. Plus when they get wet, they haven't rubbed.
 
Robinsons have purple SMBs reduced to £50 from £65 a pair in my horsie's size but that does seem a painful amount of money to pay as she doesn't actually knock herself...

The N.E.W look good, and most of the horses in the yard have WOOF ones...
What are equilibrium stretch + flex ones like?
Or Clarendon?

Also, as i'll be showjumping her, should i get tendon boots for the front and brushing for the back or brushing all round?
